An Experiment With Podcasting

This is an experiment and we will see how it works. With family spread from one end of the globe to the other as well as all over the US of A it seems that more and more often we don't get to spend the time together that we wish to. We keep talking about doing something like this, so now we can just start doing it!

We may not even need this blog. We might just be able to do it straight from the Ustream sight, using its tools to "chat". We may want to use this blog to watch the show and chat via Skype. I am not sure, but we can experiment.

Aimee and Ryan will be coming this weekend and we can experiment before the "big day". What is the "big day"? Will, what we are hoping to be able to do is podcast the nuptials of Ms Katrina Morrell and Mr. Aaron Gasser in Hawaii for all of you who are unable to make it.

We are supposed to be able to podcast via an iPhone or even with my droid. Daintry and mom are supposed to be trying this out in the next couple of days.

I am hoping we will figure this all out, soon, for NorthCoastOregon.

Any suggestions? Rick, I think you will find this helpful, too, for your work. Ustream is very easy to use. Point and click here dummy, friendly.

Let me know if you all have any suggestions!

Oh, yeah, when we are live it will play over there, in that box, to the right or you can click here to check and see if we are up to anything!

Baldtortoise is Mom's podcast. Right now she is down in Hawaii. She tried it out, taping from her iPhone and live from her iPhone. Then she got embarrassed and erased it! It worked great but it was pretty dark. That shouldn't be a problem for the wedding, since it is at 4 pm but it is good to know for other things.
